While this remains to be seen if it will ever make it into production, the Belkin Podcast Studio, might just be the perfect DV Rebel field recorder. It uses the host iPod as a 2 track stereo recorder. Featuring 2 XLR inputs and a built in compressor/limiter this could end up being one sweet device. If it does make it to market for the projected price of $99.99 it will make a nice alternative to the M-Audio MicroTrack Recorder and the Zoom H4. I haven't been very impressed with Belkin's quality control in the past, but for a hundred bucks, I would be willing to take a chance.
