Hey,
So I've noticed a couple of times that I build an effect in vegas ( lets say its an afterburner affect tracking a moving plane) and it looks fine in my preview render window, but when I do a final render it's not in quite the right place.
I'm wondering if this is common to other packages like Aftereffects and I just need to use a full size preview monitor, of if its just a feature of Vegas?
I think inevitably I'm going to have to buy After Effects because Vegas is pretty weak for masking too, but just thought I'd ask...
I guess a simpler version of this question is...
When working with multiple key framed layers, what size preview window do use? Is running the preview full size in a 2nd monitor pretty much standard operating procedure?
Cheers

I've never noticed any drift like that in AE. I use a 24 inch dell monitor - so 1920x1080 is almost full screen, I usually run it around 80% but then zoom into 100% (cropping) to get a good clear view of what I'm working on. I keep my panels on the second 22" monitor.

Mr. Itchybob,
I think you are confirming my worst fears. What I really need a second monitor at home ( I have this at work and love it, but my work isn't editing sadly ) and After effects.
I guess I just need to suck it up and spend the money... oh and get a bigger computer desk
