Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a new monitor, I have an inexpensive 24" LG and although I like the fact that I can put most of FCP/AE's panels on it, I have two major problems with it:

1. My eyes are exhausted. I know staring at any screen for hours on end can't be good, but when I switch over to my Macbook pro screen I can actually feel my eyes relaxing.
2. I can spend a week colorgrading a short and think it looks great, only to realize it looks very different (often awful) on other screens.

So: Does anyone have any tips?
Thanks in advance

I know its not entirely relevant, but I have f.lux installed on all my macs.

It helps for when you are using the computer for long periods of time, especially at night or in a darkened room.

Obviously its no good for colour grading, but it can be disabled while doing that job.

It has seriously saved my eyes.

Cool, thanks.

I installed it just now, hope it helps.

I also installed "shades" which lets you adjust the brightness of an external monitor by clicking shortcuts.
