In a recent review for Heat on Bluray (over here in the UK, at least) it was said that the quality wasn't as good as it should be - as if it was just an uprezzed version of the DVD. Certainly these screenshots don't look like uprezzed standard-def footage. Any UK Heat bluray owners who can confirm whether the transfer is as good as this, or is it just the international versions?

I think you might be on to something about Heat, the bluray has got that teal/orange look that everything has nowadays, and i think it didn't use to look like that.
regarding the last pirates of the caribbean shots you posted i honestly think the pre look better, though the gloomy color cast was for a purpose i guess.
