A lot of the actions I currently use plug-ins (audio levelling, for one) for are now built-in to the various programs. I like the new ProRes variations, too, especially the "proxy". Should come in very handy for laptop projects. And iChat theater, for long distance collaboration while you edit? Pretty cool.
Also, media management looks much improved across the board. And burning Blu-ray or standard DVDs from Compressor, with menus and everything? I wonder if you can build templates in DVD Studio Pro and export them to Compressor.
As an FCP user, there is plenty for me to look forward to. I don't know if it will change anyone's mind about their editing platform, but I can already see where my workflow can improve. Assuming, of course, the implementation is as cool as the concepts.

Image Sequence Support in Compressor is a big deal for me.
4K and ProRes 4444 are exciting.
There's nothing to show it but I imagine the interface for Color 1.5 is about as clunky as Color 1. Since Motion and Shake did not merge as had been the conjecture, AE is still an obvious choice for me for Compositing an Mograph - Grading I might go either way depending on how the new ProRes codecs function in Color. I love Compressor and the inclusion of sequences places it back above Adobe Media Encoder.
Can't wait to work with it.

Another very important point here: The price has come down significantly. The new FCS is only $999 now, which mitigates one of my big financial arguments against it - It's now $700 less than CS4 Production Premium.
Problem is it still doesn't have a solid compositing app so for the DV Rebel you still need After Effects - so there's another $999. There's a good chance you're going to need Photoshop at some point - another $699. $999 + 699 = $1698 and for a dollar more you can get the full Production Premium box. So, if you're going to base a full service studio on FCS then you're looking at an additional $1700 to get started.
But it's $300 less than you needed yesterday.

I got to admit, it looks pretty nice...Motion has some nice new features too, including this cool looking controller
and at $300 for an upgrade it's a steal, but it does require an Intel processor - maybe time for my G5 to retire and get an octo. (just thinking how fast AE will render with 8 processors make me giddy)

Actually, nearly the entire suite is Universal (meaning Intel and PowerPC compatible). There are only a few components that absolutely require an intel processor; every app runs fine, despite this. I think the only thing you'd be missing out on is native AVC-Intra editing and Blu-Ray support.
That being said, it is most definitely unsupported, and you have to get around the installer's 'check' for an Intel processor. You can find some more info here.
