Excel Spreadsheet for Timecode?
Here's the need: an excel spreadsheet that can subtract timecodes to give clip duration.
Anyone have one they can share? Or send?
direct email is anthony(at)aetorres.com
Here's the workflow:
I have timelines exported from FCP 6 as XML 4s.
I take the XMLs and open them using xml2text as Video Only.
I export as a Tab delimited file.
I import into excel. It's a perfect log.
HOWEVER:
I can't do anything with timecode, as it's based on 30fps or 24fps, and all that.
I've heard of macros, but haven't found any. A excel xls file that already works would be super appreciated.
I'll mail you my home made dvd of Robert Rodriguez Film Schools, plus other viz fx behind the scenes clips.
(send me mailing addy to above address)
Again, I'm hoping to try to subtract timecode to get clip durations on the timeline.

Does it have to be Excel? Because if you do a search for Timecode Calculators you will get A LOT of options. I have one which is shareware and I believe is called the Hollywood Timecode Calculator which adds and subtracts, works in 24 as well as 30, makes accommodations for drop-frame, etc.
