After many hours today researching & testing this problem, I'm calling on any fellow rebels that may be able to help.
Here is a simple actionscript 3.0 project:

As you can see it doesn't play, for the life of me I can't work out why.
My suspicion is it's server side & I'll probably have to contact the host.
Before doing that I wondered if anyone could test my project (see above link) on their server.
or
provide me with known working files i.e: .js .swfs .html & .flv so I can test them on my server.
It works locally & the obove is uploaded in binary mode (which i've read to be correct).
phew long winded or what, thanks for any help a feel free to point out I'm missing the obvious........

codec aint the prob then. i think you are right in that its on the server side. i have had this prob before, but i just switched hosts and it ironed itself out.

you got me thinking though, so I published it from AE instead, and heres my results:

that plays, albeit with no buttons etc, but has leant me more towards my actionscript being the problem.
