Hey Bruce - any updates on uploading some footage from the Canon HV20?

Also -- maybe I missed something. But shouldn't you be able to just connect this camera to a mac or pc with your firewire (or HDMI) and capture footage directly into your editing app?

Ah! Forgot. I'll try to get something posted soon.

As to your second question: Kinda'.

You can capture 60i footage easy enough using a firewire but you have to jump through a few hoops to capture 24p. On the PC side I use CineForm's AspectHD using the Sony 24P preset to capture to true 24p intermediate. I've read about steps taken on the Mac side that I think needs another third party app to capture true 24p (using FCP's HDV Intermediate). I'm not sure what's involved to capture using the HDMI connector.

Thanks. Looking forward to the footage. I've seen some stuff on other sites and it looks great. I'm seriously thinking about getting one of these, along with an m2 adaptor so I can use my Canon EOS lenses from my SLR.

God I love being a Rebel filmmaker. This stuff is so cool.
Very Happy
