MACHINE (sci fi trailer on the GH2) |

Hello! I'm posting this here because I'm truly interested in hearing back from you all! I've gotten some feedback from friends already, but I'm hoping to be getting more of a feel from everyone else here. Please share because it drives me insane spending so much time on this stuff and wondering how it comes across to others. Thank you for your time:)

Looks great! Nice widescreen cinematography. I like the hi-contrast B/W look.

Has anybody else checked it out? I find it very educational when I get feedback from strangers. And it's the second trailer I've ever done, so lot's of room to grow yet!

Just doing some location scouting in L.A. with the GH1. Since it came out, our bigger camcorders are collecting dust.
I haven't been following news on the GH2 hack but may look into the GH2.

that last shot was epic! the cheesy robot sound killed the mood though. if you lower the volume a significant amount and put like a lagato very high violin hit fading it i think it will be awesome.
the whole thing looked very good. the shots themselves felt a bit out of place with the voice over. maybe change the voice over to instead of them starting to mate man and robot, to after they already have and someone is finally adopting the first one?
also, that feel sort of like the movie AI.
but yea im really impressed by the looks of this.

Thanks for watching and giving a genuine and concise review, Tazer. It's really cool to hear all the different perspectives. I'm very excited about the full length short, and can't wait to share it!
Talk to you later,
Trey

I liked it, but it felt less like a trailer and more like a sneak peak. It left me feeling let down because I wanted to see more.
I've not read any short science fiction stories for about 20 years and I just started to get back into them and this felt a bit like some of those. In that you are painting very fast with a very large brush letting my mind do most of the work I guess??.
It also felt very soviet to me if that makes any sense. The shot of the guy lying on the beach is very surreal somehow?
So yeah, awesome, but I want more!
Dave

Thanks, Dave! More is coming for sure.
I have not seen many soviet films, but sounds like a good compliment:)
