Primatte Keyer: Recommended keying software addition to AE?
A filmmaking webcast I subscribe to recently suggested a keying program called Primatte Keyer 4.1 for easy greenscreen work. Does this software really have any noticable advantages over the built-in keying features of AE CS5? As it's price is about half the cost of the entire CS5 production premium package, I'd think it would have to have outstanding advantages to be worth it.

Matt,
I have been using Primatte since it was bundled in Commotion. It is a very powerful and easy to use keyer, especially on tricky footage.
I like it now because it works for both AE and FCP. I certainly recommend it, but it doesn't necessarily do a better job than the tools in AE. It is just quicker and easier for me because I've used it for a while.
I think you can download a trial version from Red Giant. If so, check it out! You may find it is worth the investment.
