im new to using LOOKS, ive been using colorista till now.

im not sure if this is the right way to use the two but i used colorista to wht bl an looks to do the rest,
but when i use colorista and then go in to looks the work i did with colorista doesnt show up in looks edit window.

precomping before i use looks fixes this, just want to know am i using them the right way or have i mist something?

Yeah, unfortunately that's the way AE forces it to be. I tend not to mind because I usually have Looks on an Adjustment Layer. Little easier than precomposing.

yeah that's the same for color finesse too, but as Stu says easily resolved by using adjustment layer - or 'new blank CC layer' from the rebel tools, that button never leaves my side!
